Growing Minds
The Growing Minds Program provides Agriculture Education at Neubauer Farms. We provide unique, there hands-on learning opportunities for children to learn about where their food comes from. Growing Minds has been designed to educate young consumers about all aspects of healthy food. Some of the skills that children can develop while visiting the farm include: Learning about nutrition and fresh food which may lead to making healthier food choices, stimulating the entire sensory system, increasing vocabulary and language skills, practicing social interaction and life skills, and physical exercise. Teachers may book fieldtrips in both the spring (May – June) and in the fall (September – October). Highlights include: seeing baby animals, milling wheat into flour, feeding animals, gathering eggs and harvesting pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.
The Growing Minds program is brought to you in part by a collaborative partnership between Neubauer Farms and Agriculture for Life.
